What is meant by demotechnic growth?

Demotechnic growth refers to a concept in social and economic development that describes the interconnected growth of both population (demo-) and technology (-technic). It emphasizes how technological advancements drive population increases by improving resource availability, healthcare, and living conditions, while a growing population can, in turn, accelerate technological progress through labor, innovation, and economic demand. Today freshwater resources are stressful for many societies (population growth) due to both drought and floodings (pollution of drinking water resources) - we simply will not have enough clean freshwater in the future to support population growth.
