➢ The term serum sickness-like reaction (SSLR) is occasionally used to refer to similar illnesses that arise from the introduction of certain non-protein substances. Serum sickness–like reactions are specific drug reactions that are not associated with circulating immune complexes. The mechanism of many of the drugs responsible for serum sickness–like reaction is not well known. ➢ A similar type of immunopathological response (Type III reactions) is also seen in other situations;
