Veins : - Cervical esophagus veins drain into the inferior thyroid veins - thoracic esophagus veins drain into azygos and hemiazygos veins - abdominal esophagus veins drain into the left gastric veins. •III. Lymphatic drainage(to the nearest lymph nodes ): Upper esophageal lymphatics drain into the cervical or mediastinal nodes, whereas distal esophageal drainage is often to the celiac nodes.
