These receptors are expressed abundantly in the vessels and are RESPONSIBLE FOR PERSISTANT VASODILATION OF ANESTHESIZED EXPERIMENTAL ANIMAL. these receptors are also expressed in CNS and in smooth muscles (in GIT tract).
