CIO. The chief information officer, or CIO, oversees and is responsible for the day-to-day technology operations of the company. The CIO may work for either the chief executive officer (CEO) or the chief financial officer (CFO), and the chief information security officer (CISO), who is responsible for information security, typically reports to the CIO.
