Gabapentin pharmacokinetics

Gabapentin exhibits nonlinear pharmacokinetics due to its uptake by a saturable transport system from the gut. Gabapentin does not bind to plasma proteins and is excreted unchanged through the kidneys. Reduced dosing is required in renal disease.
