Pregunta:
Cycle specific and non specific agents
Autor: SuzukiRespuesta:
Chemotherapeutic agents that are effective only against replicating cells (that is, those cells that are cycling) are said to be cell-cycle specific whereas other agents are said to be cell-cycle nonspecific. The nonspecific drugs, although having generally more toxicity in cycling cells, are also useful against tumors that have a low percentage of replicating cells.
