How is dx of gallstone ileus? Tx?

DIAGNOSIS Abdominal plain films: May show the pathognomonic features of pneumobilia, dilated small bowel, and a large gallstone in the RLQ. Ultrasound: Useful to confirm cholelithiasis; may also identify the fistula. CT Scan TREATMENT Exploratory laparotomy, removal of the gallstone, and possible small bowel resection with or without cholecystectomy and fistula repair
