CT with IV portography often shows hypervascular tumor, frequently with multicentric disease. Ultrasound shows hyperechoic tumor. Combination of CT, ultrasound, and MRI is 80% sensitive. CT or ultrasound-guided needle biopsy will give the definitive diagnosis. Tumor marker: serum alpha-fetoprotein Metastases most common to hilar and celiac nodes.
