Autor: H K

Respuesta:

The right anterior and right posterior sectoral ducts unite to form the main right hepatic duct, The union of ducts draining segments II, III, and IV forms the left hepatic duct. The left hepatic duct typically is longer and has a longer extrahepatic course than the right hepatic duct. Drainage of segment I (caudate lobe) is principally into the left hepatic duct Anatomic variations in the biliary ductal anatomy : 30% of patients Recognition of this variation is crucial for the surgeon performing a left hepatectomy for avoiding injury of the right posterior biliary drainage. Variations are far less common on the left side
