What is lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma?

• Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) is a neoplasm comprising small B lymphocytes, plasmacytoid lymphocytes and plasma cells, usually involving the bone marrow and sometimes lymph nodes and spleen. • Waldenström Macroglobulinemia (WM) is defined by the combination of LPL in the bone marrow with an IgM monoclonal component in the blood.
