Acc to location and size, Systemic embolism (ischemia, hypoxia, anoxia (acute/chronic/total/relative), if involve IMs cause intolerance to exertion, painful claudication or irreversible damage of ischemic gangrene, if involves viscera cause exterional intolerance, lead to angina/heart attack) Embolism of small circulation (acute pulmonary heart (suddent pulmonary HTN lead to right heart failure w/anoxia /shock) and general manifestations (malaise to sudden death))
