Pregunta:
How is local invasion characteristic of benign and malignant tumor?
Autor: H KRespuesta:
Growth of tumor accompanies infiltration, invasion and destruction of surrounding, most benign ones are localized and usually develop a rim of compressed fibrous tissues (capsule) made by fibroblast ECM activated by hypoxci damage to parenchymal cells from compression by expanding tumor, encapsulation makes tumor more easily removable and discrete. Capsulation = benign, no capsule could be both, may be surrounded by compressed normal tissue (leiomyoma), some lack any demarcation (benign vascular neoplasms like hemangioma difficult to excise)
