May be asymptomatic for 10-15 years, associated with exertional dyspnea, diminished cardiac reserve, orthopnea, paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea, and excessive diaphoresis. Also angina pain could occur, even in younger patients, and may develop at rest or at motion.
