Pregunta:
What are missense mutations? What do they result in? Are they a good or bad thing?
Autor: fahr datRespuesta:
Missense mutations are changes in one or more base pairs of a DNA sequence, resulting in a new codon. This new mutated DNA sequence, unlike silent mutations, does code for a different amino acid, and this new protein may functional differently or not function at all. If it does function, it could be beneficial, but also harmful.
