What are the steps of chromatography?

1. Draw the base line in pencil on the chromatogram, then different colours of dyes or inks. 2. Lower the chromatogram (stationary phase) into the solvent which should reach up to under the base line. 3. Wait for the ink to rise with the water into the different colours it may separate into.
