What shows the acceleration in a velocity-time graph?

The gradient of a velocity time graph shows the acceleration of the object. As an upwards slope shows the object is accelerating, while a downwards slope shows the object is decelerating and a horizontal line shows a constant velocity or speed. Acceleration is calculated using the equation: Acceleration (m/s^20) = final velocity (m/s) – initial velocity (m/s) / time (s)
