Reservoirs: Wild animals (especiallyh in rabbits, muskrats, beavers. and some domestic animals and hard ticks. MOT: tick bite, ingestion of contaminated meat or drinking water, entry of organism into a wound while skinning infected animals, inhalation of dust, or animal bites. Person to person does not occur.
