Pregunta:
What is the frequency, period and period of a wave?
Autor: Alana RayRespuesta:
The frequency is the number of waves passing a point each second, measured in Hertz, while 1 Hz = 1 wave per second, so a wave with four waves would have a frequency of 4 Hz. The period is the time in second for one wave to pass a point, which is calculated using the equation period (s) = 1/ frequency (Hz). The wave speed is the speed at which the wave moves through the medium, i.e. the speed at which energy is transferred. And the wave speed equation is: Wave speed (m/s) = frequency (Hz) x wavelength (m) Where wavelength = ‘Lambda Greek symbol’
