Pregunta:
What does a resultant force do to an object? Why?
Autor: eric_galvaoRespuesta:
It changes the momentum as because of Newton's Second Law. Resultant force can cause objects to accelerate [the formula F=ma] Acceleration can be changed to Change in Velocity ........................................................... ------------------------- .......................................................... Time This changes the formula for Force making it look like : Force [N]= Mass [kg] x Change in Velocity [m/s] .................. ------------------------------------------- ..................... Time [s] This then changes the Momentum formula as Mass x Change in Velocity becomes Change in Momentum So the equation that links it in is Force [N] = Change in Momentum [kg m/s] ....................---------------------------------------- ................. Time [s]
