Parents should be taught the RICE method: rest, ice, compression. and elevation. the child and family should be instructed in safely administering factor products at home. parents should seek er care if the child has s/s of intracranial pressure which can indicated intracranial bleeding, secer headache. slurred speech, comiting and disorientiaion.
