An arrangement in which a person refers a business to a real estate service involving a federally related mortgage loan that has either an affiliate relationship with or a beneficial ownership interest. An Affiliated Business Arrangement (ABA) is not a violation of Section 8 of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
