It will execute pressure on suprascapular n. that run inferior to it in the suprascapular notch. Result: no innervation in supraspinatus m. and infraspinatus m. no abduction and lateral rotation
Ossification in superior transverse scapular lig.
Happens when serratus anterior m. is paralyzed due to damage of long thoracic n. Result: medial border and inferior angle of scapula is pulled away from thoracic wall. elevation of upper limb is not possible above horizontal line
Winged scapula
Injury to superior parts of brachial plexus (C5/C6) which results in paralysis of deltoid, biceps, brachialis. Result: waiters tip position abduction of upper limb not possible
Erb-Duchenne palsy
Lesion that reduces size of the tunnel, or enlarges the structures inside. Median n. most sensitive (supplies skin of thenar mm. and 1,2 lumbricals) Result: no opposition of thumb no sensation in thumb, 2, 3 and half of 4th digits
