Question
Answer
OPERANT CONDITIONING IS THE PROCESS WHEREBY THE OPERANT BEHAVIOUR IS MADE MORE FREQUENT BY REINFORCEMENT.
What is Operant conditioning
where the desired responses do not occur naturally and efforts are directed at eliciting the appropriate responses. Done by building a chain of responses through a step by step process.
What is Shaping ?
Refers to a process in the shaping of behavior and the learning of a task where the required task is brocken down in to small steps for its effective learning and reinforcement
What is Chaining ?
Cues indicates which behaviour will be reinforced and which behaviour should be punished. with cues the organism learn to discriminate between stimuli for emitting the learned response. discrimination is a process of using cues, signals or information to determine when behaviour is likely to be reinforced or punished.
What are Discrimination and cues?
ability of an organism deal with the perception of ,or response to similar stimuli.
Generalization?
Teaching process & learning environment must be designed to create minimum frustration and maximum satisfaction. Modification of undesirable behavior Personality can be manipulated . Develop motivation through praise, blame grade etc. Reinforcer should use periodically so that the extinction of desired behavior is reduced.
What are educational Implications of Skinner's Operant Conditioning theory ?
