What is the list of the main waves on the electromagnetic spectrum? [in order (from smallest to largest)]
Gamma Rays, X-Rays, Ultraviolet, Visible light, Infrared, Microwaves, Radiowaves.
How does wire thickness and length affect the current of electricity?
The thicker a wire is the more current there would be since there is more space for electrons to collide. The shorter the wire is, the electric current would be further increased since it would have a lesser length to travel.
What are are the main components of a LED circuit?
A battery, a resistor, wire and the LED
What happens when the switch in a circuit is open?
The current of electricity is cut off, stopping flow of electricity back to the battery. Would stop the flow to the light bulb, fan or whatever is being powered.
What is a series circuit?
It is when all power is controlled by one source, stopping all power from one switch.
What is a parallel circuit?
A circuit that allows you to stop power for certain elements whilst keeping it on for others.
How does resistance through conductors work?
Current in a conductor is the flow of charge carriers called electrons, the charge carriers collide with the atoms (ions) in the conductor. This causes the atoms to increase vibration, which causes an increase in collisions. The lesser the resistance, the more the conductor would heat up.
