What does CITES appendix I mean? | • Rare and endangered species • Trade will generally not be permitted for primarily commercial purposes. • Special convention export/import permits are required |
CITES appendix II? | • Species that are not currently rare or endangered, but could become so if trade is not regulated. • Also includes look-a-like species • Export permits are required. • Appendix II mammals in BC include Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Cougar, Lynx, Bobcat, Wolf, River Otter, Sea Otter |
